Some of the ways Albie gives little gifts as we try to do some good and most important do what he did best…make people smile.
Albie’s First year
He was with us…the very best gift ever.

Albie’s Second Year
The era of fundraising!
I was so grateful for the lifeline of support Held In Our Hearts gave to us and just wanted to thank them and help them continue to do their amazing work.
Throughout the year we did soft play days, quizzes, valentines ladies days, Moo Music specials, a baby sensory play session, lots of McDonald’s fun days, abseiling, running (well…fast walking from me)…looking back it was mad!! But it kept me going, it helped me continue to live without Albie as my life was still all about him.
That year we raised £52,000 for the charity. We celebrated with his number 2 birthday cakes and the Ness Bridge was lit up on his birthday for him💙💗
My favourite thing we did that year though was a sponsored walk. A load of our incredible friends and family tracked their steps as we hoped to walk the length of the county. Well we ended up walking as far as Mount Everest! Then in an act of total kindness an explorer Lauren took Albies flag with his face smiling, the charity logo and the names of other babies gone to soon to the top of Everest. Albie was literally at the top of the world. 🌎 His flag then went to Peru! That was very special.

Albie’s Third Year
I started to think things for bereaved parents could be better. That looked like…
-involvement with SUDCuk getting to assist with training for GPs. All Highland GPs have now had access to the session we did on SUDC helping grow awareness.
-I spoke out about the need for a key worker…one constant person who will be there for the families straight away regardless of location, circumstances of the death or age of the child. No one should be alone. This I will continue to push for, watch this space (MP’s just take so long to reply!)
-We lit up buildings in blue and pink for Baby loss awareness week, showing families their babies are remembered and they are not alone.
-More fundraising!😅 Including a very special afternoon tea where we got to invite and thank those super special people that have helped us on this journey.
-A little campaign to on Albies anniversary ask people to donate blood to help save lives that can be saved. 18 people donated❤️
-As Albie should have been starting nursery we gifted them a slide and music wall…Albie therefore is still at nursery in some way making his friends smile.
-Our own very special gift from Albie…his little brother Bhodi came alone. 🌈
