Alone…but not really

Today was the Held In Our Hearts Christmas service, I was a bit apprehensive to go as I’d be going alone as Eoin had so kindly offered to stay and look after the little ones.

But I was not alone…Albie was completely with me❤️

The service was beautiful, heart breaking and I am so grateful to all who brought it together.

Albie has created so many special Christmas traditions for us- the service, he’s our Christmas tree star, we’ll always raise our glass to him at Christmas dinner and we’ll forever think of his little screwed up face when he tasted lemon meringue pie whenever we eat it (yes Lyn we do want it this year!)

These traditions are so important and mean so much…but what I wouldn’t give to be having traditions like taking him upstairs to hang his stocking and playing with his jingle bells very dramatically.

Albies changed chrismas, he’s changed everything! But he’s as big a part of it now as he was for his only Christmas, just in a different way.

But still full of so much love and magic.
