Who to invite to tea?

Who would you invite to a dinner party if you could meet with anyone in the world? it.

The prime minister? Taylor? God?

No, I’d meet you.

And your dad and brothers but with them i have the pleasure of witnessing some of the answers.

Oh how I hope the last question is not true. For any of you.

Are you happy?
Surrounded by love and people being kind to you. Does your heart skip a beat as you think about the fun days ahead?

Are you confident?
Knowing your worth and how your inner amazingness shines through everywhere you go. Do you sing all the songs you like loudly and with no inhibitions?

Are you brave?
Looking at new challenges as opportunities to conquer. Do you say ‘yes’ whenever you can? But also have the strength to say ‘no’?

Are you generous?
Searching out opportunities to give and create kindness. Do you make sure those around you are doing okay?

Are you warm?
Wrapped in cosy jumpers and always turning the heating up when you’re cold, doesn’t matter how much it costs. Are you the type of person who gives a warm hug?

Are you proud?
Of yourself, and and of me. Are we doing ok, not not too much of a cringe mum but living a life you are proud to say ‘that’s my mum’?

Are you peaceful?
Having spaces where you can truely rest and just be. Do you have a bedtime where your mind gently reminds you of the day just passed as you drift off to dream land?

Are you lonely?
Please say you’re not alone.

Are you scared?
Please don’t be.

Are you feeling left out, forgotten?
Please don’t. It simply is not possible.

To you, and all my children.
You are always welcome to come for tea with me.

Always top of the guest list.

Always.
